I go to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and the Japanese club had a fashion show, in which I was a model. The fashion show featured Harajuku styles such as Ganguro, Cosplay, Decora, etc. My outfit was a punk Lolita look. I really liked the outfit, it was kind of my style because it was edgy but it also had some lace and bows.
I wear make-up most days because it makes my skin an even tone and it brightens up my eyes and just keeps me looking fresh. I don’t really understand people who don’t wear make-up. Who doesn’t want to be at their full potential at all times?
Face: My foundation and powder are Clinique. I use a highlighting stick by Neutrogena because it makes my eyes pop.
Lips: Color Sensational has the most vivid lip tints and sticks. However, I am quite fond of Juicy tubes by Lancome because they shine and they are thick and taste good too!!
Eyes: I don’t always wear mascara, I actually hardly ever wear it, which is why I like the clear Maybeline kind best! I try to wear eyeliner everyday because it makes me look more awake and my eyes look rounder. I use Revlon or Maybeline eyeliner.
I like sophisticated, avant garde runway looks like the first image shows. The middle picture is one of my relatives and it represents my liking for retro and film noir style. The third picture is of my mom’s tutu from when she was little. I took dance my whole life so that’s why i like certain bright and girly things.
I used to collect dolls. I was pretty hxc about it. I have things from a variety of designers such as Mattel, Madame Alexander, Robert Tonner, etc. I loved Barbies and American girl dolls. It was a fun hobby and since I spent so much time picking out outfits for my dolls, it made me addicted and now I love picking out my outfits with the same enthusiasm.
Above are the things that help to define my unique and somewhat quirky fashion. Necklaces, hairbows, fake hair, wristbands, braclets, and an outfit that I threw together to represent who I am. The military jacket from Forever 21, represents my boldness. The pink panther tee shows that I am young at heart and like to have fun. The striped Billabong short shorts are classically chic yet memorable. The fleece scarf is in one of my favorite patterns, plaid and it also represents my warmth. And last but not least, the bag with the pins expresses my creativity and openess.
I love fashion. Most people would describe me as alternative and unique in the style department. I’ve decided to start blogging on here because I think it will be fun showing off my clothes and jewelry while also teaching ppl. how to apply makeup or do their hair. Thanks for checking out my blog, have fun reading it. =p
