I remember just a couple years ago wondering what Fashion Nova was, and if I would like their stuff since I’m not thick (I thought maybe I wouldn’t fill out the things quite the same as their models.) It turns out that pretty much all their products are comfortable, super cute, and on trend. What’s not to love?
This seductive ribbed two piece is a heavy polyester and spandex mix, so it’s very stretchy and feels good. Doesn’t look like it would be that comfy, I know. The edges of the fabric are staggered/frayed like points or teeth, making for a punky look. There are buckles for decoration on the arm cuffs, and the belt around the waist actually fastens tight enough to keep it in place. The only negative is that it’s pretty short!
This one is a keeper. I felt like I took a chance since it’s from CVS and not somewhere like Ulta, but I’m impressed. It’s buttery, lasts a long time, and the matte is soft, not a harsh one. I just wish it didn’t transfer, it does transfer a bit onto cups. Besides that it has a nice color, sweet taste, and smell, and it is of decent quality. The shade doesn’t quite match how it looks in the tube, but it’s close enough.
A month ago I went to Disney World with my boo, our first trip together even though we have been together forever. It was awesome to say the least! I didn’t quite know what to expect since I hadn’t stepped foot on the campus since I was 3!! It was a great treat. 😊😊😊
Once we got off the plane, we already had fun stuff planned! We went to Disney Springs to hang out and go to shops, and there were tons of shops and food places. Oakley, Coach, Pandora, just to name a few. It’s the place to be for young adults in the area. We ate at a fancy restaurant called the BOATHOUSE Dinner, which was nice and we ate outside, watching boats go by. The waiter was very cool, and the honey rolls of bread appetizer was to die for…. I loved it and I’m not even a bread person.
The first day (actually entering the parks, I mean) we checked out Animal kingdom, which might just be my fave. of the parks due to all the chill animal stuff. I really didn’t know how big the parks would be and this kingdom was one of the larger, spread out ones; it was pretty easy to get turned around in this one. There were all kinds of stuffed animals, Pocahontas stuff, Simba merch, and a nice restaurant called the Rainforest Cafe. We rode an uber scary water ride called Forbidden Everest, I think. It has a yeti theme and went up, down, backwards, etc. We did the Killamanjaro bus ride, where the animals were so close, it was epic! The Kali rapids ride had a few nice splashes but nothing as crazy as the first ride. That night we got to view a light show, which was very easy on the peepers.
On the second day, we ventured to the romantic, girly-princess, OG park: The Magical Kingdom. This is the place that was so crowded, people were laying in the grass, shoulder to shoulder, crowded. Elsa, Anna, Goofy, Pluto, Minnie, and Mickey were singing and dancing to “Let it go” and other songs which I can’t recall atm. The shops had gorgeous Dooney and Bourke handbags, Christmas ornaments, kitchen decor, and fancy dresses. We participated in the Haunted mansion, pirates of the Caribbean, a carousel, and rode a tripple decker steamboat! It was the most beautiful. We had a fantastic late lunch in the crystal palace, where the food was the best out of all the food around there and we got to meet Winnie the Pooh and friends!!!! This was definitely my favorite part of the whole trip!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
The third and final day of the trip was spent split between Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. The buses we rode this day were more convoluted or frustrating to figure out which route to partake, so we ended up taking a skyline at some point and I don’t remember it all, but we figured it out somehow. We were first in EPCOT, where we saw the Canada and England themed places, but unfortunately it rained VERY HARD, and we were soaking wet, even though I had a raincoat. (At least I got to see Alice in wonderland, and a very tiny Minnie and Mickey as well. Some of the mascots are bigger than others.) So I bought a heavier raincoat and we shivered the rest of the day, because we didn’t want to go back to the hotel, or else we would miss all of our rides and food we had planned. It was low-key miserable to have soaking wet socks and shoes for seven hours, but I lived. We rode the Soarin ride Which had different aromas you could smell along with virtual reality scenes. We also did space mountain which was pretty terrifying.. felt very fast and I closed my eyes every time I got dizzy. Our other fast pass was cancelled though due to the rain so we went ahead and left, going to Hollywood studios next, which was the smallest park to me. We ate at a 50’s style restaurant that had good food but small portions and the people were sassy because that was just the aesthetic of the vintage diner, but don’t ask me why! It was alright but I don’t think I would eat there again. I wish we had more time in that day to check out more of EPCOT, guess we will just have to travel there another time!
The Double Tree hotel was absolutely awesome! We got free water and cookies (apparently they gave out cookies at night, but we were never hungry at that time), our room was extra purified with a special humidifier, we chilled in the hot tub a couple times, and there were stores inside. There was also a grand entrance which contained a giant Christmas tree and smelled heavenly like cinnamon. The food was great at the hotel. The breakfast and dinner were honestly impeccable. All the staff were A plus people that you wanted to put in your pocket and carry home! I wish I lived there.
I don’t like to sit still at the nail salon so I usually just do my own at home. It’s just more fun for me that way. I get these KISS fake nails at Beauty World and they’re super underrated!
I have worn this set 3 different times now. So they are reusable, and as long as I put on enough of the glue, they stay on for days. This time they stayed on 4 days, and would have been on longer, but I ripped them off when I realized some hair at work was getting trapped beneath a couple of them. I didn’t feel clean so I had to pry them off. I hate my job. Lol. Oh well.
This dress got wrinkled while I was in the car for a couple hours, but it’s a beaute so I had to share. I wore this nice Lilly Pulitzer shift to my cousin’s baby shower, she’s expecting her first child at the end of this month! It’s a bright blue hue and kind of a heavy cotton fabric with little indentations along the entirety of the dress, and a regal gold curly embellishment at the decolletage. It brought out my tan which is the deepest natural one I’ve had in forever, sadly I’m sure it will fade in a few more weeks.
My brother’s gf’s brother got married in August and this is what I wore.
It’s a fancy white and green shift with a splash of orange. Oh yes, and it also has a lovely white ribbed detail at the flattering neckline. I’m so tan this summer since I’ve been at the pool since the end of April. Got to show it off before it fades!!
I went to visit family near Charlotte today. We went to eat and I got some photos with my nana. The outfit consists of a baby pink Tommy Hilfiger sleeveless top, paired with a pleated soft peach skater skirt from Forever 21, and my huge fushia Michael Kors bag.
I am super proud of my tan this summer!!!! That is part of the reason I went with mainly light hues to ensure a pop in my skintone. I think it’s awesome, and I worked so hard at the pool to obtain it!!
I spend my off days and some work days after I’m off, at poolside. I have countless bathing suits, they’re one of my favorite things to purchase too.
This beige one is from Forever 21. When this style was first popularized, I wasn’t that interested in wearing them just because I thought the high neck might be unflattering. I actually think this style makes a lot of sense though, you can jump and run and play without fear of a nip slip! Sure it’s not the best for tan lines, but I think it’s super chic and comfy.
Okay, so this red one is a two piece made to look like a one piece. I got it for cheap on WISH. I usually have great luck with WISH so I’m glad I gave this one a chance. It isn’t super comfy because it is structured at the bust, including underwire, which is very unnecessary, for me at least. It’s pretty easy to figure out, you cross the straps, and I think the X makes everyone look proportional or hourglass. Very happy with this purchase, it’s my mom’s fave suit on me!
I would never wear sneakers in my own time, but I have to at my place of work. I make sure to get super pretty, neon Nikes since I have to wear mainly black. These ones are rather thin and not the most comfy, so I put inserts in them.
It was slow for a few minutes so I went outside to chill in the heat, away from people and to take a few pics.
