I’ve taken some photos with this jacket in the past, but never unloaded them. I’ll have to do that some day, until then, this denim on denim had to be seen. I’m wearing Rue 21 jeans, Demonia boots, jacket from Forever 21. This was for a lunch date with my bf. One of the last really warm days this fall. If you look close you can see I had on some fishnet tights, and the holographic bag is from WISH. I’ll do a post solely on the shoes and one on the purse at some point.
So it’s been a little while since I got all of my Jeffree Star lip stuff. I am still really into his brand, I love the look and the feel of his product overall.
What do you think? Pink is so fun, but neutral is so chic!
Top photo, lip color is Queen Supreme, lower photo color is Androgyny.
Let’s get down to it. I really, really love the smooth application of his lipsticks, but I wish that the wand was a little smaller. The tip is made for people with larger lips, so if you have a petite mouth you will have to be very careful as to not smear it every where! Kylie has a better wand I believe, and so does Tarte, and Kat Von D. However I like the fact that his do not peel or flake like Kylie’s seem to do so easily.
You can eat with this on, as long as you are extremely careful about not touching anything greasy or wet to your mouth. That is pretty much how all these brands are. Anything oily or really liquidy is a no-go. Don’t even lick your lips! The best one to eat with is probably Tarte, because it doesn’t flake off and look so horrible, it just subtly rubs a little, and certain days it seems to not even budge because it’s so super creamy. I have had some luck with eating with Kat Von D’s, as long as I am very careful. Really depends on the food. One time I ate a cupcake with Kat Von D’s matte liquid lip stick and none came off!
I love that Jeffree star’s liquid matte colors are vivid and light weight on your lips, they aren’t drying, they aren’t too creamy, or too cracky/flaky/peely, it is a nice in between as long as you keep it dry. The pigments are very true to color unlike Kylie’s have been for me. I wish that I could layer Jeffree’s a little more, because sometimes the pigment looks a bit opaque. And honestly, I could do without the chemically smell his seem to have. All the other brands smell pretty nice to me.
I cannot think of anything else right now. I am very pleased with his colors and the way they go on/ stay on in general. I also have one of his plain lipsticks that comes in the old fashioned lipstick form, and it has glitter in it which looks incredible layered over a velour lipstick. I will have to save that more another post though!!
I’ve been on a kick of creativity lately so I am trying to make a lot of products at home to be healthier, save money, and just have fun! There are several ways to make your own fragrance spray. I chose to use just three simple ingredients, and it works pretty well.
All you need…
Shake it up before use! It isn’t a very strong scent, if you want it to be stronger, put more of the essential oils. The great thing about the essential oils is that they don’t have all the chemicals most air freshener sprays contain, and they help sterilize, along with the alcohol of course! You can also spray it in the bathroom, in the air or straight into the commode. It works better than candles or popourri, and totally covers up foul odors by absorbing them on contact.
Soap is expensive, at least the really nice smelling, pretty bottled ones! I’ve read so much about the chemicals in soaps like at Bath and Body Works, it makes me feel kind of ripped off when I do purchase their brand. I decided to try making my own soap. It isn’t all natural or anything, but at least I know everything that I put in it was put in it by me, which is a start to being more healthy.I just kind of winged this and it turned out great, smells awesome too.
So the first thing to do, get an almost empty bottle of anti-bacterial soap, with only like a very small amount of soap left inside.
Then you will want to add all these things…
Then shake it up, pump it out a couple times and make sure it is thick enough for your liking! That’s it, saves time and money and won’t dry out your paws!!
I make a lot of smoothie type drinks, and I love coffee so I have started playing around with different recipes. I drink my coffee with half and half, that is my favorite, but sometimes I am in the mood for a different flavor. I usually make up a drink and it turns out being good, but this one is fantastic!! It tastes just like a Starbucks iced coffee. 🙂
Here is what you need to blend up:
The end result tastes like a mint frappe or a caramel vanilla drink that you’d find at Starbucks. It is sooo good. You have no idea!
My skin is on the oily side of things, so I try to keep my pores as small as possible and cleanse my face twice a day in order to prevent breakouts. I am a fan of the brand AcneFree for washing my face off (they have a good benzol peroxide one), and I use Cetaphil for a oil-free moisturizer. I like to use Epiduo for a toner, and I have heard that Effaclar Duo by La Roche-Posay is a great alternative, and a much cheaper way to keep your skin looking clear. It doesn’t have apadapaline in it, which is what seems to make Epiduo work so great, but it does have LHA and benzol peroxide. I haven’t seen a bad thing about it while researching it online, so I am hoping I turn out loving it.
I have only used it a couple times.. so far, so good! It seems to shrink any bumps, the redness goes away, and the overal appearance of the blemish diminishes, just overnight! That’s exactly how Epiduo works, so I am satisfied thus far. Hopefully it won’t dry out my face, but I am looking to only use it when a large bump appears, or for an emergency, at least until I run totally out of Epiduo.
I fell for these bad boys the moment I saw them online a few years ago. I didn’t stumble upon them in person until the other month at the mall. I was searching through the dimly lit Hot Topic when I came upon these and I knew immediately that they were mine! They call these garters, but I don’t think of them as an under garment, because they are clearly fancy panty hose, if you ask me! And I would never hide them away.
Houndstooth shorts from Forever 21, same with the wedge sneakers, V neck from Victoria’s Secret, sweater by Crown and Ivy.
One of my all time favorite materials would have to be suede. I love how soft and smooth it feels, a close cousin to the best ever material known as velvet. *Sigh* So I found out that I could be taking care all my suede shoes! It’s called Scotch Guard.
I wish I would have known about this stuff years ago since I have a ton of shoes that could benefit. Basically, you spray this stuff on (I wore a mask because it’s really strong and can cause you to get nauseous) and then you wait for it to feel dry to the touch and then re-spray. It will keep the delicate material from getting water damage so you don’t have to hide from snow or rain or maybe a mud puddle. Of course I still avoid wearing my nice soft shoes in those conditions, but now I don’t have to worry as much about a spill or something.
Crazy color lips are super on trend. I decided to try out blue to go with my eyes, and also because I don’t like purple and that’s the crazy color most people stick with. I used Urban Decay’s Electric palette to make this color, since I don’t want to purchase an actual blue lip stick (I’d never use it other than for this blog).
