The ones of me far away are with my Nikon, don’t know why it’s so fuzzy looking. Oh well. It’s good enough! The black tee shirt dress is Forever 21 and the camo corset belt is Fashion Nova. The belt is a little too lose and slides around, which is annoying. I like it but it’s so thick and has a zipper, so it doesn’t really suck you in like a traditional corset. At least it’s comfortable though. I have worn the dress so much, I’m surprised it hasn’t fallen a part! It’s a basic piece in my wardrobe. I will have to repurchase it before too long. You can wear it so many ways!
I’ve taken some photos with this jacket in the past, but never unloaded them. I’ll have to do that some day, until then, this denim on denim had to be seen. I’m wearing Rue 21 jeans, Demonia boots, jacket from Forever 21. This was for a lunch date with my bf. One of the last really warm days this fall. If you look close you can see I had on some fishnet tights, and the holographic bag is from WISH. I’ll do a post solely on the shoes and one on the purse at some point.
I went to visit family near Charlotte today. We went to eat and I got some photos with my nana. The outfit consists of a baby pink Tommy Hilfiger sleeveless top, paired with a pleated soft peach skater skirt from Forever 21, and my huge fushia Michael Kors bag.
I am super proud of my tan this summer!!!! That is part of the reason I went with mainly light hues to ensure a pop in my skintone. I think it’s awesome, and I worked so hard at the pool to obtain it!!
I spend my off days and some work days after I’m off, at poolside. I have countless bathing suits, they’re one of my favorite things to purchase too.
This beige one is from Forever 21. When this style was first popularized, I wasn’t that interested in wearing them just because I thought the high neck might be unflattering. I actually think this style makes a lot of sense though, you can jump and run and play without fear of a nip slip! Sure it’s not the best for tan lines, but I think it’s super chic and comfy.
Okay, so this red one is a two piece made to look like a one piece. I got it for cheap on WISH. I usually have great luck with WISH so I’m glad I gave this one a chance. It isn’t super comfy because it is structured at the bust, including underwire, which is very unnecessary, for me at least. It’s pretty easy to figure out, you cross the straps, and I think the X makes everyone look proportional or hourglass. Very happy with this purchase, it’s my mom’s fave suit on me!
I wore this to dinner at Blue Rock Pizza last month. It was unintentional but I ended up in all grey! I hadn’t planned on wearing anything super cute, but I decided to photo it when I realized it was an epic outfit. I probably shouldn’t have worn suede since it was raining, however, the color matched the stormy night perfectly!
Shoes from Wish, purse by Coach, shirt from Victoria’s Secret, hoodie by Forever 21.
Ah, the beloved sundress. You can style it alone with some sandals or pair it with a leather vest at night or put leggings underneath in fall. It is a wardrobe essential, but it doesn’t have to be basic!
This is another look from the summer, obviously, since I’d be frozen like a statue if I were wearing just this right now, so just ignore that! I love sundresses just as much as anyone else, however they are usually thin, soft cotton that tends to pic over time and shows wear incredibly bad. That is why I got rid of my old ones *tear* and purchased some newer ones over the summer. This dress is cotton, but it isn’t nearly as soft as the material Victoria’s Secret uses for their dresses. This is from Forever 21, and I love it because it doesn’t snag or degrade every wash, it is sturdy but still looks graceful. It has a pretty brass zipper all the way down the back, and two square pockets in the front that are nice and roomy for a cellphone or makeup, etc. It’s blue and white checkers, which is picnic chic, but also stands the test of time.
I got tan at the beach. It has long since faded, but the photos and memories will prevail!
This is a look from this past summer. I guess I should post more outfits each month, but I get bored of just posting the same thing. It is far more interesting to post throwback outfits, especially when this kind of outfit is my fave. I get so tired of the winter weather and the same long sleeves and pants. Summer gives you ability to wear the cutest things.
This is from over the summer whilst I visited the beach at Wilmington, NC. The crop top is Forever 21, skirt is my favorite of all time from Max Mara and Miley Cyrus collection, lips by Kat Von D. My hair dried curly cause I was at the beach, but to achieve this scrunched loche look, use Soy Renewal Beach Spray by Sexy Hair!
This is a throwback look that I donned a couple months ago when it was still nice and summery. I would say it’s one of my favorites because it’s super pretty, tiny, and very in style for the moment! Neutrals are BIG, I am not sure how long that will last, but IDC, I will always rock them because they are so flattering, simple, and chic no matter the occasion. The bottom is a bit large, so I have to stick out my stomach a little to keep it from sliding. I have a little black pleather crop top that goes with the mini too, for when I want to be matchy-matchy monochromatic!
The crop and pleather skirt are from Forever 21. Tartiest matte lip paint by Tarte.
I fell for these bad boys the moment I saw them online a few years ago. I didn’t stumble upon them in person until the other month at the mall. I was searching through the dimly lit Hot Topic when I came upon these and I knew immediately that they were mine! They call these garters, but I don’t think of them as an under garment, because they are clearly fancy panty hose, if you ask me! And I would never hide them away.
Houndstooth shorts from Forever 21, same with the wedge sneakers, V neck from Victoria’s Secret, sweater by Crown and Ivy.
I wore this attire for Valentine’s day this year since I had a date with my bf. This is a rose petal pink or flesh tone silky dress from Forever 21. There’s very thin coverage in the front so I was creative and inserted pads from a bikini top. Lol. I forgot to tan, ugh, but hopefully the dress doesn’t wash me out too bad. The little black sweater is Lily Pulitzer. Septum ring from Hot Topic, it matched my pastel green pearl neckace but it’s hard to see in the pic. Boots from Forever 21. Marc Jacobs mascara, Dolce and Gabbana liner, and I created the lipstick with different colors.
We ate dinner at Liberty Steakhouse! It was really good, I hadn’t been there in years. I always get the BBQ Chicken pizza, it’s the best. We also had desert to celebrate the romantic night. It was a huge piece of Reece’s peanut butter pie!!
I look lumpy sided in the photo, that’s just the awkward angle of my sweater which was doing it’s own thing apparently. Haha. I hope to post this dress in the summer when I am more tan and don’t have to wear leggings with it. (It actually snowed on V-day night so our outing occurred a bit after the 14th, not that it matters!)
I really enjoyed having my makeup like this. It’s a tamed down version of the matte lip look and caked on eye movement. I decided to take elements of the most trendy makeup but make it more natural and appealing and not so fake!
