I didn’t have time to get my nails done before my cousin’s bridal shower, so I had to think quick. I went to Beauty World (a new one just opened really close to me, I love the selection!!) I found out they have a great variety of nails you can glue on. Some look like gel nails, and some are short, long, pointed, round, you name it!
The brand is KISS and it said they would stay on a week, however that’s very false. Even with the KISS glue, they were already falling off the next day after applying them. My right thumb nail came off two or three times, and a couple other nails came off, but I was extremely careful! I thought they would stay on more securely.
Oh well, at least they look really pretty and as if I got them done. I will use them again for special occasions but I don’t think I’ll purchase any more.
This color is amazing! It’s Sally Hansen’s quick dry polish. It does dry fast, it didn’t even feel tacky. It doesn’t even have a bad smell, it’s almost a sweet scent that definitely doesn’t have the typical chemical aroma you associate with polish.
I don’t like the color red, tbh, it’s so bright and bold and obnoxious, often tacky. That’s just how I feel about the color in general, but it’s one of the three colors I wear to work everyday, so I’m getting better aquainted with it, on the daily. I just polished them yesterday, but they’re chipping slightly because I’ve been doing hair all day!
I bought this color like three or four ago for hair school; we had to polish fake nails on a fake hand and we had to use fire cracker red so it would show up well. Everyone at work has thought it’s pretty though, so maybe I’ll use this hue more in the future! At least it’s shiny and matches my work clothes perfectly, oh yes and also my color blind boyfriend can see it, so that’s cool. It’s his favorite color!
I hadn’t had my nails done in maybe three years! So on a short work day, me and Mom went for it. It was a super rainy day and i was in the mood to chill out and afterwards we got Dunkin doughnuts!
I hate to sit still, and I never let anybody touch my feet, but it was nice to smell the strong aroma that’s so commonly associated with being pampered, nail polish of course. The chemicals are mighty but it’s a nice scent every now and again. A certain feminine quality to the fragrance, maybe because no men are ever present in the nail salon unless they work there!
Happy Friday the 13th. Hope you’re having a spooktastic day!
So.. I used a ballet pink shade as my base. It was an Ipsy color that I have had for a long time, since hair school! The silver that is on top is one of the OPI crackle tops. I know that the crackle polish didn’t really go over that well, but it is better than the Sally Hansen brand. At least OPI has really good quality, it’s a good texture, never too thin or too thick. You just have to be sure there isn’t a lot of the product on top when you do the overlay of any brand of crackle polishes, or else it is a total failure! Seriously, if you don’t lay it on there just right, and hold your breath while doing so, it won’t crack up at all, and instead looks like normal polish.
Do I recommend purchasing crackle shades with any line of polishes, no, that would be a negative! Spend your money on something that has a prettier finish and doesn’t look like a mistake or old chipped paint!
When I was bored at work I decided my nails needed polishing. My eyes were drawn to this pretty blue, but something was missing, so I got creative. I did a white streak across one finger on each hand, and then black dots. I dipped a fork into black polish to come up with this unique design!
