My friend Nichole did my nails again this week for a test at cosmo school. I was very excited about this Haute in the Heat color by Essie, but it didn’t turn out very fabulous. The color was supposed to be a bright pink, but instead it’s a red color that I’m not very fond of. Pink is more my speed than this. I was pretty disappointed, and it’s a brand new bottle, so I am sad that the color was deceiving!
I got my nails done with a gel polish the other week. I hadn’t had my nails done in almost a year, I had just been painting them myself so it was nice to go back to a salon since they do such a good job. I picked this nice pink color and put glitter to my index and ring fingers to add some interest.
My last post was my 200th post!!!!! Isn’t that awesome!! I haven’t posted on here in a while because I’ve been very busy lately, I will post about why I have been so busy in a later post! (So stayed tuned, it’s an exciting reason!) :p
This is might be my absolute favorite polish that I own. I LOVE pastel colors and they are still super on-trend. This is the shade Sea by Sally Hansen, it really does remind me of the sea foam on the tips of waves at the beach. It was difficult to photograph it, but it’s a lot prettier in person! The best thing about this hue is that it makes my tan pop, which is a big deal for me in the summer!!
This is that same brand of nail polish from TJ Maxx called Paris that I used in my last nail post. A few posts back I posted what the matte pink color looked like. It was very girly and pretty, take a look back and see for yourself! The only reason I don’t use these polishes a lot is because they take 4 or 5 coats to be perfected, which can be time consuming and frustrating. You have to be in a good mood to paint your nails, otherwise you will just keep messing up.
This color is equally as pretty as the pink, just wish that it was matte like the pink was because that would be different and I like different! Shiny nails are everywhere, but regardless baby blue is always a nice shade. I received a lot of positive compliments on this polish from men and women and was told again that I should hand model, haha!! Tell me what you think, likes, comments, or questions are ALWAYS appreciated. Talk with you later!
This is my favorite finger nail polish. It’s sooooooooooooo pretty I can’t stop looking at it!! It’s a muted pink pastel color that reminds me of a a raspberry smoothy or cotton candy. I just can’t get over it. I love pastels and how there is no shine, I get tired of regular polishes that are all bright and shiny. This is a great matte spring color especially with Easter around the corner.
It’s been snowing a TON here in NC the past two days. I haven’t seen it snow this much since elementary school or maybe ever. It’s pouring down, leaving everyone trapped at home. Southern states aren’t very prepared for heavy snow because it very, very rarely happens. We don’t have the chains on our cars or the plugs in parking decks or the big snow plows, so when it ices and snows, we have a tougher time dealing with it and it becomes dangerous. That’s all.
Anywho, I haven’t painted my nails in a couple months so I missed doing it and what better thing to do during a snow storm?! I decided to get out all my polishes and pick a pinkish hue since it’s almost Valentine’s Day. Here’s what came of it:
This pink color has turned coral, probably because it’s not my most recent polish but that’s okay because coral still has pink in it! It also has glitter in it which is just as great as pink. This polish is Color Quick in Pink Pearl by Sally Hansen. It’s a fast dry nail color pen. I like it!
Tell me what you think!!
Black is a magic and mysterious hue. Did you know that it is the lack of every color?
I love black nail polish, in high school it was always on trend; I wore it all the time! The polish I have on in the above photos is Rock N Black by Maybelline Salon Expert. I like the glimmering glitter that is in this polish, it makes it look more sleek than just matte color. Black is edgy, so the glitter and shine are the feminine part of this polish. I decided to sport these chic black nails for Halloween.
Happy Halloween everyone!! Hope you have a spooky time, eat a lot of candy, and watch a lot of horror for me!!
If I paint my own nails, I usually paint them black or pink, cause those are my favorite colors I suppose (I know that black isn’t really a color, but IDC!) I also like the color blue a lot! Anyways, this is one of my favorite polishes that I have ever had because it is the prettiest. I have no idea where it’s from, but it’s such a pretty shade of fuscia. It’s bright, bold, shiny, and flirty. This is the quintessential Barbie color as well. =p
Welcome to the jungle once more! Last month I had my nails painted gold with a leopard accent (If you scroll down you can see them!) This month I have chic black and white nails with a zebra print accent. Zebra-tastic for sure. I really like having light colored nails because it brings out my tan and I am getting more tan by the day since we are in the midst of summer. I feel so glamorous with such tiny artwork atop my finger. I only wish that I could have kept my nails as long as they were before I went to the nail shop. They were sooo long and pretty but I could hardly do anything because they were in my way and two of them were breaking so I had to cut off the length. Ignore the cut on my pinky, my hands are sensitive and get beat up sometimes when I get my nails done. Anyways, until next time, happy nail polishing!
It has been a while since I have gotten my nails did since I have been so busy lately, so I finally went today and changed that. I figured I would go with a gold champagne color since my college graduation is coming up and the colors of my university are blue and gold. I am usually not big on school spirit, but this is a once in a lifetime event, so I can at least subtly show my pride, right? My high school friend, who also attended UNCG and already graduated, was there at the nail salon! She got some zebra print incorporated into her nails, which inspired me to get something a little unique as well. I got acrylic leopard print painted on my annulary fingers to spruce things up a bit. I also have stickers that are orange and white sparkly butterflies with tiny flowers on my thumb nails. I really like the attention to detail with this look! I can’t wait to show them off in my UNCG graduation photos. =p
