A few months ago I decided to try out laser hair removal and see if it’s really worth all the hype. There’s no way I would spend my sweet time and money in salon treatment, besides this is year 3 of the pandemic, so yeah, no…
Technically intense pulsed light isn’t a laser, but you know what I mean. At home laser treatment!
The first four weeks you use the laser 3 times a week, week five-six use 2 times, week seven-eight use 1 time, and then from the eighth week on you use it every other week forever. I can commit to this, I have decided it’s worth it for me.
I started using it under my arms first and after doing this about 3 months, I can say that the hair growth is 2-3 times slower growing in, and the hair seems a little thinner. Also, there are 2-3 bald spots under each arm!! So it’s worked pretty well, the hair didn’t totally disappear, but maybe even more of it will go away within a couple more months. I only shave once every 7-9 days though, instead of every 3 days or so how I used to.
Recently I’ve started doing the IPL for the hair around the pubic region. I will check in a few months to tell you if the darker, thicker hair is balding away as good as on under arms. I’m also debating trying it on my forearms as well, even though waxing has already created several bald spots on them in the last 6 years and I don’t mind waxing. Stay tuned!
